ROMAN RUINS AND ETERNAL SANDS

DAY 1 — Tripoli

Meet-and-greet at Tripoli International Airport and transfer to our hotel of choice in downtown Tripoli (exact hotel name and address will be communicated well in advance per email).

Introductory briefing and sightseeing in and around Tripoli: labyrinthine alleys, primeval Roman heirlooms, vibrant souks, gargantuan mosques, modernist architectures, and North African charm.

Overnight in Tripoli.

DAY 2 — Leptis Magna

After breakfast we'll transfer to Leptis Magna, one of the most spectacular Roman remnants along the Mediterranean Coast.

We'll devote the entire morning to this magnificently preserved archaeological site and enjoy a picnic lunch near the ruins.

In the early afternoon we’ll transfer back to Tripoli for a relaxed stroll around the madina and well-deserved coffee break.

Overnight in Tripoli.

DAY 3 — Sabratha

Morning transfer to ancient Sabratha, second only to Leptis Magna for building greatness and historical importance.

Full day in Sabratha and late-afternoon transfer back to Tripoli for a conclusive Libyan dinner with romantic views over the Mediterranean Sea.

Overnight in Tripoli.

DAY 4 — Ghadames OR CYRENAICA

For those travellers with a couple of days to spare, we offer a three-day-two-night add-on to the famed Berber oasis of Ghadames, a UNESCO-world-heritage site known as the Pearl of the Desert for the stunning beauty of its walled historical quarter (1550 € / person).

For the intrepid ones, we can organise once-in-a-lifetime two-day foray into Eastern Libya, also known as Cyrenaica: the lively Mediterranean city of Benghazi, the breathtaking archeological sites of Apollonia and Cyrene, and the incongruously green mountain pastures of Jebel Akhdar (1800 € / person).

For all our guests with limited time available, the Libya Tour ends here in Tripoli: we will take care of your secure transfer to Tripoli International Airport and bid goodbye or rather say: ma'a salama!
