PROGULKI
LIVESTREAM WALKS
A SERIES OF LIVESTREAM CITY TOURS TO EXPLORE OBSCURE AND REMOTE DESTINATIONS FROM THE COMFORT OF YOUR HOME
by Eleonora Sacco for Soviet Tours
Daydreams about far away travel but currently unable to take a trip abroad?
Longing for adventure and discovery while stuck at home or in the office? Here we come!
WHAT
Progulki are livestream virtual tours led on site by our local guides and moderated remotely via Zoom by a member of our staff. They represent multi-sensory cultural immersions into the many facets of some of the most obscure travel destinations on the planet narrated through the eyes, the voice and the impressions of its dwellers. Our local experts will be your travel companions on a livestream tour through the streets and the squares, the markets and the parks, the monuments and the bridges of distant urban sceneries and faraway existences. In the comfort of your home you'll sit like kids around a campfire listening to fascinating stories and observing compelling realities.
WHO
The Livestream Walks are conducted on site by our local guides, who will share with us tales, facts, legends and anecdotes, while strolling through the cities they call home. They will be filming and live-streaming everything they see and encounter during the walk. The tour will be also introduced and moderated by a member of our office staff.
HOW
All tours are in English and always take place on Zoom. Each trip typically lasts for about 2 hours: 90 minutes of actual walking tour plus 30 minutes for post-tour questions, comments and elucidations. The moderator will join the tour from the very beginning: she/he will present the route to the participants and assist the local guide by uploading visual material on the shared screen, thus providing additional insights about the places you will be shown. The moderator will also help out in case of technical hiccups, manage the live chat and emcee the Q&A session at the end of the tour.
Each walk costs 29 € per person.
The price includes: a 90-minute livestream walking tour on Zoom led by our local guide and moderated by a staff member of Soviet Tours, a 30-minute Q&A session, a video recording of the livestream.
WHEN
The starting time for each tour is always indicated in CET (Central European Time, UTC+1).
The first series of Progulki - Livestream Walks took place in March 2021.
